Over the course of the past few weeks, RespiraWorks has been merging with another project. BostonVent is a volunteer-based ventilator project,
made up of the Covid Innovation group via Mass General/Brigham.
The team also has affiliations with MIT and Harvard Medical School.
RespiraWorks looks forward to the added expertise and combining knowledge to create even better designs.

Joining forces with BostonVent is an exciting moment indeed. After all, both organizations have had essentially the same goal: to engineer low-cost, open source ventilators for all, especially for the developing world and in the interest of stockpiling. This is in response to rising ventilator demands and limitations brought about by Covid-19. The engineers and medical professionals are already talking plans and schematics. The collaborative nature of this merger is really coming together, and we’re looking forward to what it may bring!
